Japan’s Sharp Corporation announced a few days ago, since the construction started in November 2007 on behalf of the LCD panel 10 plants have been in this year’s October 1 officially put into operation, with a 10-generation LCD panel production line and a thin-film solar cell production line, Inspiron 1520 battery was named for the “Sharp Green front Sakai” (SharpGreenFrontSakai).
The panel factory has the world’s first 10-generation LCD production line, using the 10th generation glass substrates, sizes up to 2880×3130mm, with Sharp’s newly developed optical alignment completed UV2A Technology (ASV alternative technologies), to simplify the production process and increase the panel’s contrast, response time and energy-saving performance, will be dedicated to produce 40-inch LCD panels. On the initial panel production capacity of 36000 glass substrates, Inspiron E1505 battery eventually will reach 72000 per month. In addition to LCD panels, the plant will manufacture thin film solar cells are expected to put into operation in March next year.
In order to emphasize the “green line” concept, the plant 1.27 million square meters total area of all use LED light source for lighting (approximately 100,000), and Sharp in the factories at the top of the laying of solar panels to create a real green plant .
Sharp hopes that these initiatives become a pilot green business, and even more hope that the world’s most advanced factories to explain the concept of the green community.
